Apple TV+ Releases First Trailer for Jessica Chastain’s The Savant
According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Apple TV+ has unveiled the first official trailer for the limited series The Savant, starring Jessica Chastain. The series premieres Friday, September 26, with its first two episodes and concludes on November 7.
Inspired by Andrea Stanley’s Cosmopolitan article They Call Her The Savant, the story follows a covert operative known as “The Savant,” who infiltrates extremist groups to prevent potential mass killings.
Alongside the Academy Award–winning star of The Eyes of Tammy Faye, the cast includes Nnamdi Asomugha, Jordana Spiro, Cole Doman, Trinity Lee Shirley, Toussaint Francois Baptiste, James Badge Dale, and Pablo Schreiber. Asomugha and Chastain previously worked together in Netflix’s The Good Nurse. Chastain has also starred in George & Tammy and opposite Oscar Isaac in HBO’s Scenes From a Marriage.
The eight-episode series is written by Melissa James Gibson, who earned an Emmy nomination in 2017 for House of Cards and has also written for The Americans and Anatomy of a Scandal.
The Savant premieres September 26 on Apple TV+.
